Dr. Sewanyana
Dr. Steven Sewanyana, founder of North Charlotte Pediatrics and North Charlotte Family Medicine, is a Board Certified Pediatrician since October 1999. He attended Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda and graduated in January,1991. After practicing in Uganda for two years, he came to the United States to pursue further studies. He completed a Pediatric Residency in General Pediatrics at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY in 1998. He was Chief Resident for one year after which he joined a pediatric practice in Schenectady, NY. He moved to Charlotte, NC in January 2006 and was working for MD Family Medical Group. He opened North Charlotte Pediatrics in January 2009 and most recently opened up North Charlotte Family Medicine to provide medical care for adults as well. He is a compassionate dedicated Pediatrician and brings years of experience to his practice.
Amber Browning PA-C
Amber graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2006 with her Bachelor of Science degree. She then obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2008. She worked in the Emergency Department at Westmoreland and Frick Hospital until she moved to Charlotte in 2009. Since that time she has been working in family medicine and pediatrics.
Amber is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and in her spare time enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and visiting family in Ohio.
Gina Mallay, RN, BSN
Gina graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed her clinical rotations at Presbyterian Hospital and Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She has been working at North Charlotte Pediatrics since August 2009 and is presently working at North Charlotte Family Medicine. Gina is also bilingual to meet the needs of our Hispanic patient population.
Eunice Estrada, Medical Receptionist/Billing Manager
Eunice has been working with Dr. Sewanyana at North Charlotte Pediatrics since March 2009 and is currently medical receptionist and billing manager at North Charlotte Family Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her three young children. Eunice is also bilingual to meet the needs of Hispanic patient population.
